What is your saddle returns policy? Do you buy back used saddles?

We can buy used saddles back if you order a new custom Antarès saddle.

I need help choosing my saddle. What should I do?

Please fill in this form with as much information as possible so we can narrow the search down. Our specialist will soon be in touch to help you find the right saddle.

I can’t find the right saddle

We get new models in every week. Some of our saddles are being inspected or due to go online, that’s why they don’t always appear on our website right away.

We recommend you save your search filters (saddle type, size, budget etc.) to make it easier to find the right models for you.

You can also fill in the contact form with as much information as possible: our specialist will soon get in touch to suggest the right saddle for your horse, needs and budget.

How do I place an order on the website?

It’s easy to order online. Here’s what to do:

Browse the saddles that are in stock and use the filters to narrow down your search.

Please read our blog to help you choose which features you need.

Click on the page for the saddle you like to view full information.
Once you’ve chosen the one you want, click “Add to cart”.
Confirm your order and follow the secure payment steps.
Once confirmed, you’ll receive an email confirmation with all the information you need.
You have a 15-day trial period from receipt to test and approve your saddle. If it isn’t right for you, you can exchange it with the help of our specialist or get a refund.

Please get in touch or fill out the form before you trial ends if you have any questions or require assistance. We’re here to help!

Which payment methods do you accept?

You can pay for your orders on the website by:

Visa or Mastercard
Bank transfer Follow the instructions provided when you place your order to make a transfer to our bank account.
Cheque Your saddle will be shipped on receipt of your cheque. We will cash your cheque at the end of a successful trial period.
Floa in 3, 4 or 10 instalments in France or 3 instalments in Belgium, Spain, Portugal and Italy

Delivery & returns

I want to return my saddle because it isn’t right for me or my horse.

When you buy your saddle, you have a 15-day trial period to decide if you want to keep the saddle or not.

Our blog can help you make all the necessary checks.

The care kit and saddle cover must be returned in their original condition if you return your saddle. Payment is required for any unreturned or damaged items.

What is your delivery time?

We ship the saddle within 48 hours (working days) of confirming your order.

You will receive an email to let you know it’s on its way. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on your location and sales period.

How does overseas delivery work?

Selles d’Occasions charges for delivery abroad:

Europe Zone 1: free delivery for orders weighing 0-20kg. 60€ delivery for orders weighing 20kg or more.

Europe Zone 2: 60€ delivery for orders weighing 0-20kg. 120€ delivery for orders weighing 20kg or more.

Rest of the world: 120€ delivery for orders weighing 20kg or more. 240€ delivery for orders weighing 20kg or more.

Europe Zone 1: Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland

Europe Zone 2: Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Latvia, Czechia, Greece, Poland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Serbia

Which size should I choose?

The size of the saddle should suit both your body shape and your horse’s.

The saddle should be correctly positioned and girthed without a pad.

Can I try before I buy?

Of course! At selles-occasions.com, you have 15 days to test out the saddle at home and make sure it’s right for you and your horse.
All you have to do is pay for the saddle beforehand as a security deposit during your trial period.
If the saddle isn’t right for you, you can return it to us (in its original condition) and we will refund you as per the terms and conditions.

Inspection & warranty

Are your used saddles inspected?

Selles-occasions.com is committed to providing you with premium saddles. Our artisan saddlemakers check them before approving them for sale. We carefully inspect the following:
– The saddle tree for structural integrity.
– The first wear and tear parts are inspected and the girth straps are replaced where necessary.
– Other worn parts undergo an in-depth inspection to ensure the saddle is in prime condition.

Are your used saddles guaranteed?

Antarès and By Antarès saddles are given a “workshop warranty” upon manufacture: 5 years for the saddle tree and 2 years for the leathers.

Any saddle made within 5 years is always covered by a workshop warranty
e.g. a saddle made in July 2023 is under warranty until June 2028. A 6-month legal guarantee of conformity applies to any saddle sold on the website.

A 2-month warranty applies to the saddle tree and leathers from the date of sale for Antarès and By Antarès saddles over 5 years old.
